  1. Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (after reading this book it was the first time in my life I actually BELIEVED i could be successful as an entrepreneur)
  2. 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller (LOVED it!  this is the book I wish I had written;  it confirmed for me that my calling and my career are connected)
  3. Eat that Frog by Brian Tracy (do you need to stop procrastinating?  this book shows you how)
  4. Failing Forward by John Maxwell (if you want to do anything big in this world you’re going to make mistakes, have missteps and setbacks; if you’re going to fail at some point, you may as well fail forward)
  5. E Myth by Michael Gerber (introduced concept of not just working in the biz but on creating a duplicatable system)
  6. Make A Name for Yourself by Robin Fisher Roffer (first book I read on branding yourself)
  7. Nuts! Southwest Airlines’ Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success by Kevin and Jackie Freiberg (it’s been a lot of years since I read this book, but what I remember about it is the  perserverance it took to keep this company up and running; it showed me the benefit of persistence)
  8. Unleashing the Ideavirus by Seth Godin (one of the most creative marketing books I’ve ever read; for those of us who like to not just THINK outside the box, but LIVE outside the box)
  9. Brand YU Life by Hajj Flemings (the book itself  models the lessons taught in it; it helped solidify in my mind the importance of branding myself)
