9 Books that Rocked My (Biz) World
(and the list keeps growing…)
- Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (after reading this book it was the first time in my life I actually BELIEVED i could be successful as an entrepreneur)
- 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller (LOVED it! this is the book I wish I had written; it confirmed for me that my calling and my career are connected)
- Eat that Frog by Brian Tracy (do you need to stop procrastinating? this book shows you how)
- Failing Forward by John Maxwell (if you want to do anything big in this world you’re going to make mistakes, have missteps and setbacks; if you’re going to fail at some point, you may as well fail forward)
- E Myth by Michael Gerber (introduced concept of not just working in the biz but on creating a duplicatable system)
- Make A Name for Yourself by Robin Fisher Roffer (first book I read on branding yourself)
- Nuts! Southwest Airlines’ Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success by Kevin and Jackie Freiberg (it’s been a lot of years since I read this book, but what I remember about it is the perserverance it took to keep this company up and running; it showed me the benefit of persistence)
- Unleashing the Ideavirus by Seth Godin (one of the most creative marketing books I’ve ever read; for those of us who like to not just THINK outside the box, but LIVE outside the box)
- Brand YU Life by Hajj Flemings (the book itself models the lessons taught in it; it helped solidify in my mind the importance of branding myself)
