“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life!”
This is the quote on the wall of my office. It reminds me and my clients that we need balance not just money. Money doesn’t buy happiness and chasing happiness is a futile pursuit. We must dig deep and find a joy and peace for which no money can buy. I would venture to say that comes when you work to fulfill your calling.
We are all busy. Taking kids to school, going to work, running errands, planning and then cooking meals, overseeing homework, etc all need to get done. Our “mother’s list” can be a mile long! What we tend to forget is that we’ve been put here on earth for a purpose. Even moms have dreams and goals that yearn to be fulfilled. Are you making your dream a reality? Your life is calling you to create this special space.
One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned over the past three years is that all of our dreams are connected.
It has been three years since I left corporate America to more aggressively pursue my dream of helping people gain control of their finances. And what an awesome journey it has been! Although it was difficult to leave a job I enjoyed, my family has benefited from me being more available to them and my clients have benefited from having an unbiased third party willing to help them with money matters. One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned over the past three years is that all of our dreams are connected. Because I stepped out and dared to do something different nearly 200 families are now beginning to achieve their financial dreams and goals. What an awesome experience to be a part of!
Maybe there is something you have been dreaming about and don’t know how to begin. Your life is calling you to take action! Put your thoughts on paper, count the cost, and take small steps everyday to see them come alive. We are better, more balanced, and complete wives, mothers, and friends when we make room for the life we truly want. There are brilliant ideas, inventions, businesses, books, etc to be developed inside you that no one else can create quite like you would. Your piece of the puzzle is vital to the world or God wouldn’t have given you the passion for it in the first place. Someone else needs you to make your dream a reality! Won’t you start today?
