Angelina, reading is one of my fave past times - always has been. I've learned so many things about marriage, parenting, relationships and most importantly about God's desire to have a relationship with us. I think it's no coincidence that God would put His Words to us in a book. I hope post like this and comments like yours inspire others to read.

Kendra, I love to read as well. As a Christian, I'm always seeking the Lord, so many of my books are God centered books. I do have other books that are not Christian growth focused. My favorite book though is Lord Help Me Get off this Merry Go Round and Teach Me How to Respect a Irresponsible Man by Christina Dixon. It was an eye opener for me and gave me tremendous insight. For example, the book really speaks about how a woman can contribute to the negative habits of her husband by enabling him to continue such negative habits.Like not making excuses for him to the debt collector and allowing him to be responsible for his actions. Or always being the mediator between him and kids but allow him to work his own issues with them. One of the definitions of respect is "to not to interfere with". Another was that even though your husband may have negative habits he is still a child of God tha Christ died for, and therefore should receive my respect. Another insight was condoning sin is not equivalent to submission. It's really great read. The other thing that I love to do is look for additional books that the author him/herself recommends.
