I realized that I have been seek different groups to join (book clubs, church groups etc) so I could meet new people but what really was going on is that I was feeling insignificant so I was looking to people to valid that I was ok right where I am in my life at this time.
Ooooh, Joanne. What great insight! Your response really gave me something to think about. Thank you for sharing this. I know other women can relate and benefit from this.

Miesha, I loved reading about your pivotal moment. I think most moms (parents) can relate to that turning point of realizing life is no longer about you (not that it ever really was). Our attitude can help us see life in a completely different perspective. Thanks for sharing your moment with us.

Kendra, I love this article. I have had many pivotal moments in my life, some good, and some not so pleasant, but each one effectively changing the direction of my life positively. Of course the most significant one was giving my life to Christ, and that is definitely an ongoing process. God is so multifaceted, how can we not be constantly changed as we experience Him. Another memorable pivotal moment for me was becoming a mom. I remember a friend telling me when I was pregnant, that my whole life perspective would change, but not until I held my daughter in my arms did I truly grasp what he was saying. My life changed forever. Every single thing that I have done or said or thought from that day forward has been from the perspective of a mom. Your article was on point. I still had the same job, lived in the same place, drove the same car, etc… Yet everything around me was different.

Kendra…I really enjoyed this article. My most recent pivotal moment was this past Tuesday at the class “Biblical Perspective of You” when the teacher said “if your not looking to God for your security, needs, and significance then your motives for your actions are rooted in your need. You become self centered. She kept talking to make another point but I was stuck there…the light came on for me. I realized that I have been seek different groups to join (book clubs, church groups etc) so I could meet new people but what really was going on is that I was feeling insignificant so I was looking to people to valid that I was ok right where I am in my life at this time. That comment help me shift my perspective and things have not been the same. I attempt to remain open or sensitive daily to recognize those moments. Keep writing!
